Remarks	Phone Pal Volunteers provide regular weekly telephone calls to isolated seniors who have few connections to family members or friends. The volunteer becomes a telephone friend; a resource and confidante to the client. The ability to speak other languages is certainly an asset. Background: The value of our volunteer program is immeasurable when it comes down to how volunteers make a difference in the lives of our elders. As one of our volunteer noted, the rewards both clients and volunteers receive from the mutual experience is "one of the greatest learning journeys of my life." At Circle of Care, our volunteers help our clients live healthier, happier, longer lives in their own homes.
