Ontario Jewish Archives
Founded in 1973, the Archives has been actively collecting and preserving material recording the history of the Jews in this province.
The wide variety of material preserved includes manuscript and printed documents, pictorial material, sound & video recordings and selected artifacts. Individuals and organizations are encouraged to contribute material relating to Jews in Ontario. The OJA gratefully accepts gifts and is a designated institution under the Canadian Cultural Property Export Act.
Appointments to visit are required. Please be aware that not all records are open for public access. Researchers should consult Archives staff prior to their visit. Hours of operation: Monday to Thursday, 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Friday 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 pm. Closed Jewish and statutory holidays.
