A major focus of Maccabi is the selection and preparation of a national team to compete at the Games of the Maccabiah - held in Israel every four years. Canada also sends teams of athletes to the Pan American Maccabi Games and, as partners with Maccabi USA and the JCC Association, our organization is integrally involved with the JCC/Maccabi Youth Games held across North America each year.
The Maccabi Movement's message of unity & continuity is especially relevant given the many threats facing world Jewry today. The many activities of the World Maccabi Union have become a compelling medium for strengthening the bond between the State of Israel and Jewish communities worldwide. Maccabi Canada is proud to be part of this most important affiliation.
