Why I Volunteer: Susan Batist
Associated Hebrew Schools of Toronto
2007-06-29 07:51:27

Susan Batist's volunteer efforts on behalf of Associated Hebrew Schools of Toronto help enrich the experience of each AHS student.  Susan's work was acknowledged when she was honoured as the school's choice for the 2006 Tribute to Community Volunteers - Together With Israel: A Salute To Our Community and its Volunteers.

"To suggest that volunteering is an altruistic act is to ignore all that it offers the volunteer.  Indeed, it is a means to make a difference, to say thank you and to recognize the administrators, teachers and staff who have made living and learning at Associated Hebrew Schools richer and better through their time and effort," said Batist.  "I volunteer with joy because I want to participate in the Associated experience and contribute what I can to ensure that our school and our community of students flourish.”

Associated Hebrew Schools of Toronto provides students with an excellent Jewish and General Studies education based on Torah values in a safe and supportive environment.

Associated Hebrew Schools of Toronto receives financial assistance from UJA Federation of Greater Toronto.
